While Action Syria is our name for all branding and operations, the original charity registration and name ‘Hands Up Foundation’ remain alongside. Most importantly, our work, goals and people remain the same.
For over a decade, we’ve been on an extraordinary journey that started with four friends meeting in Damascus. What began as a response to the conflict, that grew out of the Syrian uprising in 2011, has evolved into a powerful mission. We began at our kitchen table in 2012, inviting friends to enjoy Syrian food and help raise money for our friends in Syria. Today, we continue to take action, and have raised over £8 million for humanitarian aid.
