Hands Up Foundation is now Action Syria

Tune in to our BBC Radio 4 appeal

We’re on BBC Radio 4, sharing how our vital work is restoring education and enabling opportunities for Syrian children.

Our appeal – presented by the fantastic actor Toby Jones – will be broadcast at 7.54am and 9.25pm on Sunday 8 March, and will then be available on BBC Sounds. Tune in and donate to support the appeal until 14 March.

Together, we can support Syrian children, restoring education one child, classroom and community at a time.

What we do

We’re a small, forward-thinking charity which believes in giving Syrians a hand up, not a handout. We're teaching 80 Syrian refugee children, and delivering prosthetics to amputees in north-west Syria. We are also working with our partners to assess how we can best respond in Syria’s new phase post the Assad regime. As Syria begins to rebuild, we’re here for as long as we’re needed.

Health

Action Syria funds vital medical care to underserved areas, including prosthetics for amputees and support for primary healthcare centres.

Education

With our funding, 80 Syrian children from refugee camps in Lebanon's Bekaa Valley can go to school.

Emergencies

We're ready to act quickly when emergency strikes, whether that’s an earthquake, disease outbreak or conflict.

How you can help

There are so many ways to help; you can donate directly to Action Syria, or do you prefer to fundraise? Whether you’re into cooking, running, singing, hosting dinner parties, or something else entirely – we’ve got a fundraiser for you.
