Every penny you raise will help ensure Syrian communities, who have lost so much through conflict, displacement and earthquakes, have access to the education and medical services they need.

  • Where can I host an Action Syria Carols event?

    Anywhere! From your village hall, local church, temple, gurdwara, mosque, school, to a larger concert venue, or even your own living room. The world is your oyster. You could even turn an already-organised carol concert or festive event into a fundraiser. 

  • How do I spread the word about Syria during my event?

    The personal element is important. Tell your guests why you were inspired to support Action Syria and encourage them to do the same. You don’t have to be an expert. You could even ask someone who knows a bit (or a lot) about Syria to speak. Think journalists, writers, artists and students.

  • How should I promote my event?

    Get your friends involved and ask them to invite their own friends, family, colleagues, and local communities to attend, and to help spread the word.  

    Harness the power of social media, including WhatsApp and Facebook groups, by sharing your event as widely as possible. Get your friends to share too, and don’t forget to tag us on social media. 

  • How can I maximise my impact?

    You’re already doing an incredible thing by supporting Action Syria, but if you’re looking to maximise your impact, talk to some local businesses to see if they’ll  sponsor your event. They could give financial sponsorship, donate free drinks, food, or any other item which will make your event a success. Remember, it’s good for them too as it boosts their Environmental, Social, and Corporate Governance (ESG) credentials and if you offer to add their logo to your marketing really helps raise their visibility in the community. 

  • How do I send the money I’ve raised?

    Once you have completed your event, you can donate here, transfer the donations to us by BACS transfer with your surname as the reference, or send us a cheque made out to Action Syria with ‘Carols’ written on the back. Please send us an email with your details and amount you have donated, requesting a receipt if you need one. We’d also love to hear about your fundraising initiative!
