This Christmas, UK charities are coming together at London’s historic Lambeth Palace for a unique fundraising opportunity. Covering a range of worthwhile causes, the charities will be holding a series of exceptional Christmas concerts.
In the weeks leading up to Christmas, Lambeth Palace, the London home of the Archbishop of Canterbury, is opening its medieval doors for 12 days. Each night will provide a unique opportunity to celebrate the festive season, to sing carols and fundraise. Twelve Days of Christmas will be held between the 1st and 14th December (excluding Sundays) with guests attending in person, while a much larger captive audience watches from the comfort of their homes.
These special concerts will feature festive recitals from Joanna Lumley OBE, Tom Hollander and Christopher Eccleston, alongside musical performances from Citizens of the World Choir. All the concerts will be held within the Palace’s stunning 17th-century Great Hall and courtyard.

The pandemic has severely disrupted fundraising by UK charities, leaving millions of people here in the UK and abroad in need of urgent support. Twelve Days of Christmas provides an opportunity for a collection of important charities to raise over £500,000, helping to make up for the serious loss of funds during the past year.

Archbishop Justin Welby, the personnel at Lambeth Palace and all the charities are more determined than ever to raise money this Christmas for vulnerable people living in extremely challenging circumstances.
